The French preschool at École de Gaulle-Adenauer is a place where your child learns, in a bilingual German-French environment, to become independent, to express themselves and to develop their creativity.
We build on play, dexterity, discovery and exploration: everything that matters for your child’s development. We follow the French Ministry of Education’s preschool curriculum and prepare children well for primary school.
Becoming bilingual without effort
Your child is cared for by experienced staff trained in early childhood education: teachers trained within the French education system, a German educator and preschool assistants (ATSEM).
We follow the principle “one person, one language”. Because your child is cared for by German- and French-speaking adults, they learn both languages from the age of 3, just as in a bilingual family.
The children get to know German and French culture, and every child’s home culture and language is valued.
Publicly funded (KiBiz) since 2024
Since 1 September 2024 our preschool has been funded under the North Rhine-Westphalia childcare act (KiBiz). Childcare fees are collected by the City of Bonn youth welfare office. If your child is offered a place, the City of Bonn will contact you directly with all further details.
